The Best of 2020: What You Loved

By Sallie Krawcheck

Note: This article mentions a small number of Magazine articles and coaching sessions that have since been retired.

Last week, we talked about The Remarkable Women of 2020. This week, I want to round up some highlights from our year with you. (You’re remarkable, too.)

Here’s what resonated with the Ellevest community this past year: the conversations you joined, the things you learned, the stories you bookmarked, and the moments you celebrated.

Your wins and money moves

  • The Elle Raisers community got bigger than ever. There are nearly 500,000 financial feminists using Ellevest to take charge of their financial futures. (And we recently passed 200,000 followers on Instagram!)

  • More than 250 people shared a recent money win with us. In the newsletter every week, we ask people to tell us about their money wins using this form — and reading through them is one of our team’s favorite parts of their jobs.

ICYMI

We had a pretty busy year, too — our mission is to help get more money in the hands of women+, so when the pandemic hit we knew we had to go into overdrive and stay there. In 2020, we launched a membership that includes digital investing, learning, and coaching — and then added an Android app. And on the Private Wealth Management side, we expanded the Ellevest Intentional Impact Portfolios for our private wealth clients to add a racial justice lens.

No matter what happens in 2021, we don’t intend on letting up the pace. Whether you’re new to this community, or you’ve been with us for the whole wild ride — thank you for being here. And let me know what you’d like to see next year; I’m sallie@ellevest.com.
